VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, April 20, 2017 – Greatbanks Resources Ltd. (TSXV: GTB) ("Greatbanks" or the "Company") is pleased to announce today that two new Directors will be joining the Company. Effective immediately Mr. Douglas Wu and Mr. Sergei Stetsenko will join the Board of Directors of Greatbanks. Douglas Hurst has resigned his director position to pursue other opportunities. We would like to thank Mr. Hurst for his years of service to the Company.
Douglas Wu has over thirty years of experience in private equity/venture capital and hedge fund investing both in the US and internationally. Mr. Wu has assisted portfolio companies in increasing returns on equity and realizing shareholder value through exits to both strategic and financial acquirers. Mr. Wu is Managing Partner of Whitwell Partners, a merchant banking firm, Senior Advisor to a family office, an active angel investor, and former director of an acquisitive holding company in the financial services sector as well as several natural resource companies. He was formerly Managing Director/ Head of Private Equity of Rothschild Emerging Markets LLC/ Croesus Capital Management, a hedge fund group affiliated with Rothschild, Inc. and CEO of G2 Natural Resources, LLC, a joint venture with a merchant banking firm. Mr. Wu began his career at the Thomas H. Lee Company, a private equity firm. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School and is Industrial Sector Leader for Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of New York.
Mr. Stetsenko is financier and specialist with 20 years of experience in private equity and venture capital investments. He has raised over $100 million for companies which have been involved in various business segments including natural resources, technology, alternative investments, communications, biotech and healthcare. Since 2008 he has been acting CEO of CRG Finance AG private venture capital investment company based in Zug, Switzerland which invests in small and midsize companies in North America, Europe, CIS, Africa and Brazil. In June, 2015 he founded Vynleads Inc., a USA based technology company. In 2003 - 2005 he was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Peloton Resources (now Triangle Petroleum TPLM) a NYSE listed company.
